Wedding couples can experience the genuine luxury of true romance and old world charm with a memorable visit to the Horetown House Wedding Showcase.  Tour the ten unique bedrooms each furnished with luxurious sweeping silk curtains, 17th century French beds and magnificent, antique furniture.  Enjoy fine wine and canapes in the welcoming reception rooms, wander around the expansive grounds and imagine yourself greeting guests on the lawn.  As a bride you will truly have found your calling as Lady of the Manor.

 Steeped in history the Grade A listed property dates back to 1692 and the house can trace its roots back to the Oliver Cromwell era. Horetown House has recently undergone 24 months of intensive refurbishment restoring the house to its former 17th century splendour.    

“Horetown House is the superlative choice for your special day” says Kate White, the interior designer who loving restored Horetown House to its former 17th century glory.  Kate continues “The house can accommodate intimate wedding parties of 20 guests up 140. The warm and cosy atmosphere envelopes people as soon as they enter the house.  The elegant Drawing Rooms with open log fires, provide an ambience of comfort, opulence and sheer pleasure, something every bride wishes for in a venue for her wedding.”

 

Exceptional fare and fine wines are pivotal to Horetown House. The Major Lackin Room is a stunning period dining room complete with a Tara Crystal chandelier and an original brass fireplace. Downstairs, the wine cellar has been tastefully converted into the Cellar Restaurant, complete with original stone walls and flagstone floors. Horetown House Chef, Paul Hynes, who holds an impressive CV working in top London and Dublin restaurants, is making waves with Michelin-quality fare, sourced from the freshest, seasonal local produce.  Paul will be available on the day to talk to wedding couples about their preferred menu for their big day.

 

Couples visiting the Horetown House Wedding Showcase will be treated to a display of top local wedding suppliers from florists, to bridal wear and beauty therapists.  For those opting for a larger crowd, a marquee will be erected especially for the day to give couples a unique preview of how Horetown House cater for larger weddings.   A selection of exclusive designer wedding dresses from a local Wexford boutique will be on display in the elegant bedrooms of Horetown House to help brides to be in their search for the perfect dress.  Ever aware that a relaxed bride is a happy bride, Horetown House have arranged for a top beauty therapist to be on hand for the Wedding Showcase.  Brides can sample the therapies available and even book the therapist for herself and her wedding party the night before her big day at Horetown House!  And of course, getting the bride to the church on time is top priority for Horetown House, so Leinster Limousines will be showcasing their transport selection for the bride and groom.

 For those enamoured and choosing to book their wedding straight away, Horetown House have a special offer.  This includes a Champagne Reception on arrival for all guests (normally €20 per person) and the afters (light refreshments).  Deposits will be required to avail of this special deal on the day.
