An Ordinary Man, a Tribute to Christy Moore

Liam is best known in Ireland for his show “Ordinary Man A Tribute to Christy Moore” and having performed this since 1999, he has indeed got Christy Moore off to a tee. The wit, the stance, the look, the guitar playing and of course the songs! The Voyage and Black is the Colour being two great wedding favourites.

Don’t worry though, if two hours of Christy Moore, is a bit too much, Liam will tailor his show to suit your needs. Liam says, “I was aware that a complete Christy tribute show might get boring for some guests that may not be big fans of this type of music, so I expanded my gig and now I also perform a really nice Rat Pack set performing songs such as “New York New York, Mack the Knife and Can’t take my eyes off of you” plus many more. Along side this I have a really lively “Johnny Cash” set which always fills the floor these days”.

Liam continues, “when I perform in a venue its my own gig but for a wedding it’s different, it’s an honour to be asked to perform for a couples big day and I really try to tailor my show to whatever they would like to hear. I also try to bring a lot of banter and fun to the show. If people are laughing they are having a good time!”

Liam Byrne is in big demand not only for Wexford weddings and weddings through out the southeast, but indeed throughout the whole country!

Liam played for us that night after our wedding - The "Post Mortem" as he calls it. It was a fantastic night - Liam's talent and humour had the (slightly hungover) crowd in stitches, back on the dancefloor for the second night in a row and cheering for more.
